Our Story
Dan Varcoe is the founder and lead optometrist at Charlestown Eyecare, bringing over a decade of experience in both clinical practice and optical retail to the Cornish coast. After qualifying as an optometrist in 2014, Dan combined his clinical expertise with his background as a dispensing optician to deliver a comprehensive and personalised approach to eye care.
In 2019, Dan opened Varcoe Eyecare in St Austell, an independent practice known for its patient-focused service and commitment to quality eyewear. Building on that success, he launched Charlestown Eyecare in early 2024, expanding his vision of accessible, stylish, and clinically excellent eye care to the picturesque harbour of Charlestown.
