Choosing glasses or sunglasses at Charlestown Eyecare should be an informative and fun experience. We will always discuss the look you want, and how different colours of glasses will work for the tone of your skin, hair and style of clothing, along with any particular occasion your glasses are for.
We will also discuss the perfect lenses for the tasks you intend to use the glasses or sunglasses for, and discuss the different options available to help you make a great decision.
Some people like to have a contact lens applied on their eye to help them choose their glasses even though they don’t intend to have contact lenses for any other use. We are always happy to accommodate this and can often do it on the day. Don’t worry, we will also remove the lens before you go home.
Eyewear styling consultation
An eyewear styling consultation is an appointment dedicated to all of the things we would do following an eye test, or when dispensing glasses, but perhaps where someone would like to choose multiple pairs of glasses for different looks, occasions or even different lenses to complete varied tasks.
Booking a styling consultation allows us plenty of time to discuss the options that would work for your individual style and glasses prescription.
How should Eyewear fit?
Your glasses should fit perfectly and be comfortable to wear. When choosing your glasses we will consider any adjustments needed, and customise your glass to fit well before we take the important measurements for your lenses.
When your glasses are ready, we will check this fitting again as we want them to be perfect when you take them away.
Its normal to need an occasional adjustment to your frames, please just book an adjustment appointment if you’d like us to check if your glasses are still fitting perfectly.
